Tirumangai AzvAr enjoys the deeds
of EmperumAn. He eulogizes the Great valor of use of bending the Bow for the
sake of pirATTi.
He commends Sri KrshNA's
spontaneous act of picking up the mountain-Goverdhanam.
Be it so. However, in between,
Kaliyan ventures into talking of vUragam EmperumAn and TiruvekkA
EmperumAn.
What is the need for this? Either
he could have enjoyed the deeds of EmperumAn at one go or may have cherished the
divya desam-s together. Tirumangai AzvAr mixes both of these in this pAsuram. Why
is this so?
Sri PeriyavAchAn PiLLai -The king
of commentaries - sorts this out. Reasoning this out as a survival technique for
Tirumangai Mannan- The vyAkyAthA explains that unlike other AzvArs who see
Parathvam in Supreme-Greatness in Parampadham stage and soulabyam -free a
cessibility in archai , Kaliyan enjoys both the Greatness and simplicity in
'archAvathAram'.
This is likened to one eating
food. For each handful of food, ghee is added. Similarly, for each line of
pAsuram, Tirumangai Azvar needs one divya dEsam.
This is for the twelfth pAsuram of

Translation of the above
Either AzvAr does not enjoy the deeds of
incarnation of EmperumAn or relishes His Divine places (Divya Desam-s) He does
this together mixed.
The reason being, Tirumangai AzvAr cannot
be without Divya Desam. This is like a person who cannot
take food without ghee and takes ghee for every handful of food.
This is again a simple example but a real
life one and the import can be understood easily
)more on examples to
come)
