Periya Thirumozhi a mixture of...

Having visited the first ten, cursorily and briefly, what can our conclusions be?

In the first thiru-mozhi it was seen that AzhwAr not only realises the thiru-mahdiram but alos expresses its meaning and the efficacy of that. The extended meaning of this is later expressed in the second ten and eighth where the devotion to srEvaishNavites is the ultimate essence of thirumandhiram.

The ancient tamil usage is adeptly practised by AzhwAr in the third thiru-mozhi.

The narration of natural events in an abosrbing way is elegantly done in thiruppiridhip pAsuram- innocent beetles and the python paradox.

AzhwAr surrenders at the feet of the Lord-regretting his earlier deeds, in the sannidhi and purushakAram of pirAtti at naimisAraNyam.-vandhun thiruvadi adaindhEan.

AzhwAr again surrenders at the divine feet of Lord thiru-vEnkatamudaiyan, in the sannidhi of periya-pirAtti-purushakAram.
'engaL mAdhavanEa"

Shall we then safely conclude that peirya thirumozhi is a mixture of srEVaishNavism to the core, chaste tamil language, narration of nature at its pinnacle and what not?- veering and full of bhagavath vishayam isnt it.
Immnese affection towards the Lord and that is why it is said:

'kAdhalEa migutha kaliyan vAi oligaL mAlai"
(to be continued)

vanamamalai padmanabhan
