Title: seethaa's learnings - 12 & conclusion

Post 12

Dear sri vaishNava perunthagaiyeer,

In response to my series on ‘seethaa’s learnings’ and describing her beauty, Ms. Subha Venkatesan gave a reference to Sri Periya vachan pillai’s vyaakyaanam. Thanks to her for referring to that excellent commentary of PVP. [since post appeared in the lists, I am not copying that matter here and have no comments or points to add].

Similarly Sri Ravi Sesha kumar added comments on the krithi of ST ‘kanugonu’. Though comments were sent to me in a private mail, I want to share that with all of you.  The mail read like this - Quote -- Hello Vasudevan Sir, The ST Krithi interpretation has been really good. Only place where we could have got the doubt of cheating stuff would have been in the charanam and the way we interpret it. Where "Jaymoune" can mean two different things,

If we look at the charanam alone, every character seems to satisfy the constraints put in by ST.

Seetha: She is in Lanka, Mind with Rama and Ornaments obviously, some with Rama and some in Ayodhya. But she is the Queen (Eluvaralaki...). There will definitely be victory. Kanugona soukhyamu, on seeing Hanuman, seetha might be happy, and that happiness can’t be got by anyone else, as she is going to meet someone blessed by Rama! Looks right.

Rama: Same case with him as well. He is somewhere, his mind with Seetha, he doesnt have his ornaments or natural Kingly attire... but the rest of the song theme doesnt fit in.

Ravana: He is sleeping somewhere, his mind is totally on seetha and He is not dressed as well as he would. And he is ruling Lanka, will he have victory?

Finally Hanuman: Nothing more to add to your point. Except that, ST is trying to express his surprise, that ‘someone got this bliss’ when you are not dressed as a hermit and mind and body are not in seemingly unison!!

Eluvariki Jayamoune, only becuase, Hanuman has been blessed by Rama, so, Eluvariki Jayamoune!! My only intent is to show you how easy it is to misinterpret with all the other characters.) So with no doubts in my mind. Eluvariki Jayamey - auney! Ravi - unquote.

Thanks to Sri Ravi for his nice understanding of the krithi and finding ways of interpreting to bring out the real value of the krithi. Just to add a little more - value addition?

Dear bhakthaas, I conclude this series with this. thank you all for your time.

Dhasan

Vasudevan m.g.
