Sri Senthil Kumar,
The commentary of Govindaraja, called 'Govindarajeeyam' is the
accepted commentary in the Sri Vaishnava tradition. It includes all
Khanda-s, even the Uttara Khanda. Some scholars, notably, N
Raghunathan and much of the scholars at Ramakrishna Matham,
considered the Bala Khanda and Uttara Khanda to be extrapolations
from the original. This charge is quite unsustainable since
Valmiki's idea of Rama as a human avatara of the Lord stems from the
Bala Khanda and Uttara Khanda.
Besides that, Govindaraja inclusion of both Khanda-s in his
commentary is a testimony that both the Khanda-s are a part of the
Valmiki Ramayana.
In addition to Govindaraja, the Azhwars have sung about many events
normally found in the Uttara Khanda. More about this could be found
