vEAzham

The  word 'vEAzham' representing the elephant has also been widely used by AzhwAr-s.
1.
'vEAzham thuyar keda viNNoAr perumAnAl,
Azhi paNi koNdAnAl inRu muRRum, adhnukkarUL seidhAnAl inRu muRRum' PeriyAzhwAr Thirumozhi 2-10

This vEazham describes the removal of hurdles for GajEndhrAzhwAn.

2.
'..vEAzha maruppai osithAn, viNNavarku eNNal ariyAn' ThiruvAi mozhi 1-9-2;

'Angu vEAzhathin kombu koNdu' 11-2-2; Periya Thirumozhi

Here, it is the Lord krishNA's valorous act of killing the elephant 'kuvalaiyApEtam'

3. Now it is the case of an elephant trying to pacify its pair by offering
honey.

'perugu madha vEzham mAppidikku mun ninRu, irukaN iLa mUngil vAngi
arugirundha thEan kalandhu nETTum ThriuvEnkatam kaNdEr,
vAn kalandha vaNNan varai  iraNDAm thiruvandhAdhi 75;

4. The 'vEAzham' is here used wonderfully by likening the tusker to none other than our great AchAryA sri RAmAnujA
