I did not mean to open a can of worms.
I just wrote what i have seen in most temples here in Delhi and similar 
such rituals taking place in various other cities and villages. Since i 
have been seeing these rituals since childhood, i assumed that it was 
the normal Anjaneya worship.

As for someparts of hanuman chalisa clashing with our tradition...
i only answered the question of offering prayer to Hanuman, and not to 
offend any of our traditions.

I am extremely sorry, if i hurt anybody's feelings.
