Dear Sri Vasudevan Swamin: You have yourself answered the first part of your doubt by saying that by the time Sukha narrated the story, the events related to a by-gone age when all the dramatis personae had already quit the world and the question of Kamsa coming to know is not valid. As for the second part, if you count backwards from Hastam, you will arrive at ROhiNi. That is what "aththaththin paththaa naaL" means. This is a case of poetic license where the poet juggles with words he employs in his narration. This is what I have heard from KaalakshEpams of our Acharyas.
