Adiyen had the bhagyam to visit Thiruputkuzhi (7 kms from Kancheepuram on the highway from Chennai-Bangalore) the abode of Vijayaraghava Perumal and Maragadhavalli Thayaar.Some highlights: 1.We were told thta Jatayu attained moksham at this sthalam. 2.Maragadavalli thayaar's head is slightly tilted towards perumal. 3.Even after frying the Payaru it will sprout.Which is a wonder by itself. 4.The Dwaja stambam is outside the kovil. 5.Desikar composed Sudarshana Shatakam in Kancheepuram. There is also an idhegam that Pullaboodangudi also is a place where jatayu got moksham.Now i am confused.Can you please clarify my doubt as to where jatayu got moksham and also explain why thayyar's head is tilted and also let me know if the temple has any other importance.
