Dear bhagavatottamas, Answer to Sri Narayan's querry is as follows: When inside the temple, pranams to be first for the deity (direction of namaskaram performance is important-not to do any apacharam to any nearby sannidhi, swamies, goshti & also near by temple). Regarding archaka vandanam, it can be performed again following the above norms (i.e.not to do any apacharam). In this context, the swamy should stand in a convenient nearby place and not in front of the deity. He should not be made to show his back to the deity. In other words the swamy & the devotee should be positioned in such a way that no apacharam is done by both. sajjana padapadma paramanuhu Lakshmi Narasimha dasan NARAYANHK@xxxx wrote: All, I would like to have a clarification. Can any devotee in a Temple do namaskara (touching the feet) to a Priest? That too when the Priest is standing in front of the deity. If this is not correct, should the Priest advise the devotee accordingly? HKNarayan [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo!
