Jai Ramanuja,It is rightly said that SRI RAMANUJA is addressed as SWAMI.Swa means the belonging & swami means the owner. This gets translated as UDAYAVAR in Tamil meaning one who owns the UDAIMAI.Hence SRI RAMANUJA is addressed popularly as UDAYAVAR by srivaishnavites.

I was really not aware ofthis before. I have always heard only the popular -- "bhagavathramanuja". Sri Perumbudur being Ramanuja's birth-place might have ofcourse its own local customs.
