Dear Bhagavatas:
On the issue of Ahimsa, there is an argument that
if the sacrificed animals could go to Heaven,
why not sacrifice one's parents since they can also
reach Heaven much sooner!
This question does not seem to have been answered.
I wish to post excerpts from Chater 13 of my book
"Hinduism Rediscovered". Please stay tuned.

What an illuminating article extensively quoting vedic
sanctions of an action for a cause though it may sound

out of tune to the time we live in.

His conclusion is synergic with the ideals we profess
and practise today and may be, I wonder, such
sacrifices were relevant to vedic age, the life-style
then. Can some more light be thrown on this?
