Dear all,

I had visited couple of times this beautiful temple at Thondanoor[the locals know as Thonoor], and there is big lake that is said to be created by Sri Ramanujar with his Dhandam so that the 1000 jains that he defeated can take bath and adopt to Sri Vaishnavisim.
The temple of Lord Sri Krishna is under central gov Heritage program, the Krishna is in dancing post with flute in hand, the finger, lips, knee are in perfect straight line alignment and the priest told me that there is not many other temples where one can see like this. Nearby hillock has the "Yoga narasimha" temple/sannidhi, where one can see Sri Ramanuja having thousand headed adiSesha behind him - to remind us the event of Acharya winning over the 1000 Jains.

The priest Sri Raghuram bhattar is greatly devoted and though he is diploma in electrical Engg, he didn't take any other job in order to do kaimkaryam for the Lord of his family. Thondanoor village has no regular buses, not many shops, no medical facilities, for all needs nearby Mandya town has to be run to.
Bhagavathas visiting Melkote or Mysore, pls visit this temple too and provide your kind contributions to run the poojas at the temple.

adiyen,
anand.
