Vignapanam.

The argument of Sri Kaasyapah is not correct as per Sri Bhashyakara's
theory.

The observation by Sri Kaasyapah "it is possible to have a knowledge only
with a body" is not correct. Jivatma's swaroopa (dharmi) is 'dharmi-gnanam'
and swabhava (dharmam) is 'dharmabootha-gnanam'. Knowledge is acquired
through the later one. The later one is nothing to do with body and it is
part of jivatma. In pralayAvatsa the dharmabhootha-gnanam is zero making the
chit to look alike with achit. In moksha avasta it is total as with
Paramatma. There is a lot of difference between achit and like-achit.

The other observation "Though Jivatma is also a jaana svarupi he could not
put forth his knowledge with out a body" is also not correct. Only in baddha
stage we require karana-kalebara to acquire knowledge. Jeeva need not have
to have body to express/pray anything to god because paramatma is 'sarvgna'.
Even 'prapatti' is nothing to do with the body. 'Prapattiyavatu oru gnana
vikasa vishesham'. that is: prapatti is one special change of state of
'dharmabhootha gnanam'. We get it becuase of a unique 'sukruta vishesham'.

In fact we (baddha) jeeva got this samsara due to a change of state in
"dharmabhootha gnanam" ONLY and when we did not have karmakruta body. This
is the first root cause for our samsara. (...kalusha mathi: avindhan kinkar:
- swami desikan in rahasyatrayasara). When this happened and how we got that
agnanam is accepted as 'anadhi' in our sampradaya.

In moksha avasta the jeeva don't require karana ('acakshu: pasyan...').
Janana swaroopam (dharmi-gnanam) is nothing todo with either
giving/acquiring knowledge. It is the dharmabootha-gnanam's role. There is
no difference in the state of dharmabhootha gnanam of jeevatmas and
paramatma in the moksha state. That is why liberated jeeva has all the
anubhavam that of paramatma (bhogamatra samyalingacch - brahmasutram). the
only exception is that jeevas' totality of dharmabhootha-gnanam is under the
full control of paramatma.
