Most respected Swamin There are some people who say that the Anadhyana Kalam commences with the thirunakshatram of Thirumangai Mannan (Aazhwar) and concludes with the end of the holy month of Maargazhi. Of course, I am a thiruvadi of Srimad Srirangam Andavan Asraram and our tradition is to resume recitation after Thai Hastham. Next, what are the items with Divya Prabandham that are expressly prohibited? Can you tell me authoritatively whether we can use this time for silent study of the various vyaakhyaanams, quote during discussions and discourses, help our youngsters commit to memory (naturally through the "santhai" method)? I, for one believe, that only ritualisitc recitation is prohibited.
