Sri:

 SrimatE Gopaladesika MahadesikAya Namaha,

 Dear Sadagopan Swamin

Thanks a lot for your wonderful account of the Panaka Aradhanam for
Bhagavan Nrusimha. As you know, He is the foremost among the avatarams f
the Lord-matchless is his glory as declared by the Taittriya Upanishad
salutation "yathO vachO nivarthanthE aprApya manasA saha". The mantram or
Bhagavan Nrusimha reigns supreme among all mantrams as eloquently
discussed by Mahavidvan Paramapadavasi Sri Mukkur akshminarasimhachariar
Swamin "nayanagam shabdham". When examined from tantra shastram practised
in KeraLa, Nrusimha tAntrikam reigns on top of all the tantrams. Bhagavan
Nrusimha is the first avataram glorified in the Vishnu sahasranamam
 (nArasimhavapushrimAn keshavapurushotthama:). Swamy Parashara hattar
glorifies this namam as "Sundara Simha:" for the fact that the maneof the
Lion was beautiful to behold. He is the beloved of the Ubhaya nacchyars.
In the Bhagavatam, Rukmini sends her message to Krishna in the fom of 7
shlokams urging him to come to her rescue. Not once does she addess the
Lord as Krishna. Instead she pleads "Please come to my aid in a timely
manner as Bhagavan Nrusimha" (kAlE Nrusimha). In the Nacchiyar tirumozhi
Andal elaborates on the reason for this appeal through the Brindavana
Pasuram "mAlAy pirandha nambiyE mAlE.."i.e., Rukmini was fearful of Lord
Krishna's propensity for lying. In the VaraNam ayiram Pasuram, when asked
who is it that held Her hand during the performance of the Laaja Homam at
Her wedding, Andal responds with the salutation "arimUkhan achyuthan".
Rukmini being the Amsham of Sri Devi and Andal being the amsham of Bhu
Devi have thus unequivocally declared their fondness for Bhagavan
 Nrusimha.

Periya Azhwar declares that "a song which does not glorify Bhagavan
Nrusimha is no song at all". Furthermore in the Tirupallandu, he eulogizes
Bhagavan Nrusimha as "andhiyampOdhil arivuruvAgi ariyai azhithavanai" for
His timely arrival to uphold the words of His Bhakta "tasmAth sthambhEna
 dhrushyathE"
NammAzhwar, the avowed lover of Kannan declares through the salutation
"yen singapirAn perumai" that even in Srivaikuntam, he desires to see none
 other than Bhagavan Nrusimha.

Blessed are those who receive respectfully on their Heads, the dust from
the Feet of those who worship Bhagavan Nrusimha. Adiyen offers this
salutation to Swamin for being privy to the Anugraham of H.H. Srimad
 Azhagiyasingar.

 Namo Narayana,

 SriMuralidhara Dasan
