Dear Sri.Sundarrajan, Thank you for your kind note and query. Yes, sriman narayanan was indeed "born" in this 'bhu-lOkam' in his 'archA-avatAra' as tiruvengadamudaiyAn. He is still residing there on tiruvenkatam hill and even today you can go and worship him. The 'tirunakshatram' of tiruvengadamudaiyAn is 'tiruvonam'. To understand the significance of "born" you have to approach a knowledgeable person and ask him to explain the 'avatAra-rahasya' of God as set out in the Vedantic theology of SriVaishnavam. You will be referred to important passages from the 'purusha-suktam', the 'bhagavath-gita' and the 'pAnchArAtra-agama'. From a proper study and understanding of those scriptural texts, you will gradually emerge into a true awareness of what 'bhagavath-avatAra' means and what is the significance of the Lord's "birth" on earth. As for the other question as to why women are not supposed to utter Vedic mantram-s, yes, there is an injunction against the practice. The Vedas do not discriminate based on gender. But they do emphasize a clear division of spiritual labour: i.e. men must submit themselves to the hardships of long years of "veda-adhyAyanam" and ceaseless performance of "yagnya-karmA"; women need not subject themselves to such hardship -- they only need to support the menfolk in their endeavours and thereby reap the same benefits as them. In a narrow technical sense, only those who have been initiated into the 'gAyatri' mantram and who bear the 'yagnyOpavitam' on their shoulders are regarded as fit to recite the sacred syllables of the Veda. For any other questions in this regard you should seek personal advice from a Vedic adept or your own AchArya. This is a far too important a matter to be clarified on mere internet-forums. Trust this clarifies your questions.
