Dear Sri Vaishnavas, I have a query about celebrating Sri Jayanthi. I am hearing from many sources that Sri Jayanthi is being celebrated in many parts of South India among us today (6th of Sep). Whereas the place where Krishna was born (Vrindaban in Mathura), Sri Jayanthi will be celebrated on 7th of Sep tomorrow. Can any one please explain the reason behind this. Is this because of some calculation error OR is there any real significance behind this difference in dates. Kind Regards, Ravi Krishnamurthy ------------------------ Yahoo!
