Respected Sri Vasudevan, My point in mentioning Shiva unable to come in between Kakasura and Brahmaastra is due to the fact that it was Rama who has set the brahmaastra. Hence, none can dare face it. There are some more points I would like to add on ashwathama's brahmastra: 1. The purpose of brahmastra sent by ashwathama is for a faulty one - i.e., of killing pandavas (who are on side of dharma). The anusandhana & sankalpa of a deluded one (i.e., ashwathama) is a faulty one. Hence, Narada could come in between him and arjuna. 2. On the presence of vyasa - being Vishnu himself, he can come/appear anywhere at His will and there is no astra in this universe which can stop him. 3. another point to be noted is that even a sankalpa of a deluded one, cannot go waste in Hari's srusti. To prove the point, Krishna(Vyasa?/), instead of nullifying the astra directed it at the parikshit who is in garbhaavastha at that time. This is what I heard from elders. Pls correct my views if they are ashastra. thanks sukumar Yahoo!
