such topics as economic policies, disasters, and his inaugural
addresses. Included in this section is Reagan's Challenger eulogy. |

Reagan's key speeches on foreign policy issues from his presidential years.
In this section you will find Reagan's "Evil
Empire" speech, as well as words of encouragement from the Brandenburg Gate. |
"After the Lime Light" presents speeches and announcements from Reagan's post presidential years, including the announcement of his diagnosis with Alzheimer's
disease. |
"He Does His Own Stunts" illustrates Ronald Reagan's personal involvement in writing his speeches. It
features an actual rough draft (obtained from the Reagan Library) in Reagan's handwriting of the 1983 Lebanon and Grenada speech. These images illustrate the detail work the President invested in going over his speeches. The exhibit also illustrates clearly how President Reagan took a very hands-on approach to shaping his speeches. |
