We are the Air
Force Y2K Program Management Office--the Air Force designated focal point for
coordinating all Air Force Y2K efforts.
Our mission is to provide an Air Force wide coordinated
effort that ensures no mission critical system is
adversely affected by the Transcentury Change.
HQ AFCA/Y2K supports the Air Force effort to combat/resolve the impending Year 2000 software/hardware logic rollover. As the executive agent for the Air Force, the Y2K program acts as a central liaison in the coordination and management of solving the problem. The activities we support in this program include development and implementation of Air Force wide Y2K strategy and guidance, tracking Air Force metrics pertaining to Y2K, responding to senior leadership guidance for data collection, and dissemination of information to those in the Air Force involved in solving the Y2K problem.
