This file is available on the Web at "http://www.io.com/~woodward/@cme/". ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everybody posts from a com or an edu or an org, or some nation's net-domain And before that there's a dot which is nothing like a spot just behind th' rest of the domain-name It's preceded by an @ that looks somewhat like a splat and a user-name is to the left of that And they all make up an address which is where you get your e-mail it's your home, and it's where you hang your hat! It's a great big Internet, and it's full of people flaming They have tiny little egos, and they're constantly complaining They're petty and they're spiteful And their posts are megabyte-ful It's a big Internet, and we're not. And then there are the newsgroups which begin with alt or rec comp, biz, info, talk, or sci, control, or news And they're all full of threads on some topics that you've read a thousand times before, maybe a thousand-two You can telnet to a MUSH or a MUD or a MUCK if it's object-oriented it's a MOO And you FTP some FAQs, and then when you have the knack the World-Wide Web is waiting there for you! It's a great big Internet, and it's a celebration It's full of fabu people from every state and every nation Anarchical it might be Information wants to be free! It's a big Internet, and it's ours!
