Date: Sunday 18 July 2009
Time: 12PM
Location: The special place called “University Lake
What to Bring: Well cooked food. I will not accept Whole Body Harris Teeter’s Chicken or Food Lion’s Cheery Pie (What I used to bring last summer). Try your best! I will not bring my legendary “Moo Tod Teb” so that I will not lift the standard too high. And I received tons of request from many people that they do not want to eat shrimp and beef during the summer so please keep this in mind when you preparing your dish.

Announcing new features on TSA website

July 9th, 2009

I’m pleased to announce a couple of new features added to our TSA website.

The first new feature is ‘Forum‘ (i.e., webboard). At the moment, there are two (2) forums: General Topics and Marketplace. You can share your stories (or maybe from forward mails?) in General Topics forum. For Marketplace, it is planned to facilitate those who want to sell or give away stuff to your fellows in our community.

To access to TSA forum, you can use

  1. a link to forum is listed as the last item on the main menu (top right)
  2. access directly to URL http://www.ibiblio.org/thaiunc/bbpress/.

To participate in the forum, you need an account. There are two (2)  options to create an account. You can

1. Facebook:
To save your time (by not filling a registration form), you now can use your Facebook account.

At the moment, this function is compatible with Firefox and Safari browser only.

To log in with you Facebook account, go to a section called “Community”.  You will see a Facebook Connect button there.  Once you click the button, it will prompt you a popup window asking your account information, unless you already log in Facebook.   Then it will refresh the website showing your profile image and name.

2. Local account:
For those who do not have a Facebook account, you can register just for this website locally.  There is also a “register” link under the Meta section (last
section of the middle column).

Enjoy the new features.  Let us know what you think!
