Sport Event Wrap up

November 11th, 2008

The sports games were officially over last night. Team A (Leader: Add) fought a good badminton fight but lost to the more experienced players of Team B (Leader: Tor), with the scores of 2 to 1. (Slideshow)

A handful of TSA members then went down to Chapel Ridge where air hockey, fooseball and MarioKart were the competing grounds. Wipawin (Tuk) of Team A discovered her new found talent of fooseball and led her team to a landslide victory of 15-5. Later on Team A sent their amateur Wii players to test the water at MarioKart and found themselves winning one race after another. They ended up beating Team B to the pole with the scores of 4-nil and won the Wii Tournament portion of the TSA sports games.  (Slideshow)

The TSA sports games drew the curtains with Team B winning 4 out the 7 possible games and Team A winning the other 3. It appears Team B, “We will make them cook!” has lived up to its nickname and is exempt from cooking at the next pot luck in January. Congratulations!

RULES
  1. Mink as the president cannot participate in any game and acts only as a score keeper and a referee unless either one of the teams is missing a player for which he automatically substitutes.
  2. There will be 7 games played in this TSA Sports Event, each of which carries the same weight so the team that wins 4 out of 7 is deemed the winning team. The term ‘Sports’ here is used loosely and by no means refers to any officially recognized sports.
  3. Out of the 7 games, three of them will be henceforth referred to as ‘physical’ and the other four as ‘non-physical’. Each person can participate in only one of the physical games while they are allowed to participate in as many of the non-physical games as they wish, subject to their team’s approval.
  4. The losing team cooks for the entire Association at the next pot luck, scheduled to take place in January 2009. The winning team is exempt from cooking but is more than welcome to demonstrate their kindness, however small (!).
