A Synthesist's Guide to Acoustic Instruments H. Massey, A. Noyes, D. Shklair, Asmco Publications, New York. All acoustic instruments explained in their timbres, synthesis models, and playing techniques.

SEQUENCING & MIDI
MIDI Sequencing for Musicians Jim Aikin, Mike Maranz, GBI Publications, Cupertino 1989. The Basics of MIDI and sequencing in an easy and understable form.

Music in Sequence William Lloyd, Paul Terry, Musonix Publishing, London 1992. Sequencing explained very clearly. Examples of all kind of famous music, also classic.
