One of the goals of the Spanish presidency of the EU Council was to conclude a monetary agreement with Andorra regarding the Principality's ability to issue their own Euro coins. Since 2004, Andorra had been under a usage only agreement with the ECOFIN, the economic and financial arm of the European Council.
Some kind of news regarding this goal appears imminent. The Euro Information Website Forum will keep very close to the situation and * along any new information when it is possible.
