50 - Heller coin no more legal

Postby dblcala on 19 Aug 2008, 20:51

50-heller coin will be ceased from circulation on September 1st and no longer will be in circulation coins line-up.
The coin has a long history and is symbolic but it lost its usefulness and no longer is accepted in shops and even refused by them. You can buy nothing with this coin.

Just curious, how much is that in euro? The story sounds like the one and two cent coin in some countries of the Eurozone, where the change is rounded in your favour (kind of that shop doesn't want it) :)

I would be interested in getting one of those coins before they dissapear forever.
