The Euro is legal tender in Zimbabwe as well.

The Euro is not just used in the Eurozone. Andorra, Montenegro and Kosovo and a handful of other countries in the world use the Euro as their currency.

How many of you are aware that the Euro is also legal tender in Zimbabwe as well?

Well, now that the Zimbabwean Dollar has been withdrawn from circulation, due to hyperinflation, the Euro, the Pound Sterling, the Pula, the Rand,& the US$ have been allowed to circulate as legal tender in Zimbabwe.

My gosh, this should be driving shop owners crazy, or they rip you off on the exchange every time you buy something.

BTW, there is a resort in Cuba, called Varadero, 200 Km from Havana, it is always full of tourists, mainly from Europe (Spanish and Italians mostly). Is the only place in Cuba where the euro also circulate together with the Cuban Convertible Peso, which is the official currency. Every shop, restaurant, travel agency, hotel ... etc you go, has prices in both, pesos and euros. In Havana you will have to go to a bank first ... isn't that interesting as well?

In many places in Poland, you can also pay in Euros.

Polish people are looking forward to the Euro as the Polish Zloty has dropped significantly (1 euro is now worth around 5 zlotich).
In generally all stores in touristic places such as Cracow it is possible to pay in euro and what is even more fascinating, mostly it's cheaper to pay in euro than in zloty

Yes, it is also possible to pay in Euro in some places in Switzerland, for example near Lake Geneva (southern coast) are prices in both Swiss Franc and Euro (both in France (Evian, Thonon...) and in Switzerland). But it depends on every single shop.
