Is this forum dead?

Postby Illioplius » 13 Sep 2010, 23:56

This forum has minimal activity in last months. It used to be quite active and useful forum, but this doesn't happen nowadays.
Can we revive it and make more attractive for euro collectors?

Illioplius, nice to hear from you again.
Any ideas how to make the forum more attractive?

Such a shame nothing is happening here anymore. I have not found a good alternative either. Mdv used to post facts and news on the forum, I had the impression that used to draw visitors.

I agree. This forum used to be the best place for news and updates in regards to Euro coins. Personally I found it to be the first site to publish info (and rumors) on upcoming Euro coin releases. I must admit that now I have to use other sites to get that info. An example - the 2 Euro commemorative from Finland due to be released in about a month from now (October) hasn't even been mentioned on this site. Sad.

I heard from MdV that he is quite busy at the moment and has no time to add much to the forum. That's a pity because he always had a lot of interesting information and news.

For me, a problem is to find officially confirmed information to avoid just repeating rumours from other forums or blogs. There is for example no official information yet about the upcoming Finnish 2€CC.

Is that official enough?
Noticed in addition to - not all other forums post only rumors.

It is. I used to look on the EC website for the commemorative coins of 2010. On that page the coin is still missing, so I didn't find it... bad luck :(

Hello everyone!

Sorry for my long absence from the forum, I've been dealing with extensive legal issues.

To answer several questions with one statement: No, the forum is not dead. As soon as I've had a chance to gain my bearings and try to catch up on what I've missed, I'll have some interesting news and information to post.

Please keep your comments coming, and don't hesitate to post to the forum.

Thank you all for your patience.

Kind regards,
MdV
