As you all probably know, there are regular floods of spam at this forum. There surely is some way to stop it – maybe some Captcha used for registration?

Captcha is used for registration. They're just persistent and well payed to attack our little forum. Never fear- the Administrators are working very hard to rid the board of spam!!

It is sad and hardly understandable that somebody has interest in attacking this forum. However, I wish patience to all moderators/administrators.

Thank you for your well wishes!

Would you believe that somebody is actually paying for the spam to come to this forum?!

I can imagine it is a revenge for blocking one site that is specialised in selling Greek coins and euro coins... But otherwise no.

The TEIW has a high Google ranking. Unfortunately this attracts all kind of SPAM.
So the only reason for these postings is to place a link to their whatsoever websites in order to have the Google Bot find it and increase the Google rank of their rubbish websites. :x

But we will keep on deleting all SPAM as soon as possible.

The forum is now working with an improved captcha plug-in. SPAM should be reduced significantly.
