
Thank you for your interest in the Triangle Woodworkers Association. Our Association has members with a wide range of interests and experience, from those who are just getting started to some of the leading woodworkers in the area. Our basic objective is teaching and exchanging woodworking ideas and techniques. The only qualification for membership is an interest in working with wood.

Education Program
Woodworkers in TWA with varying levels of experience often find the excellent education programs through TWA to be an attractive, economical, and rapid way to increase their skills. In addition to our monthly educational program, we sponsor workshops and seminars with some of the leading woodworking instructors in the nation.
Enhance Technical Knowledge
Members often enhance their own skills by discussing new techniques with fellow members. This often produces a solution that someone else has already arrived at or provides the creative spark for the questioner to find his own solution.
Opportunity to Pass On Knowledge
Many members find it personally rewarding to pass along their knowledge to others either by one-on-one or through teaching a workshop, seminar, or giving a program. In doing this, they often find that they are able to hone their teaching skills and develop other important skills.
Video and Plans Library
TWA has over 90 videotapes, over 20 high-quality woodworking books, and plans that can be checked out by members free!
Discounts
TWA has arranged for discounts with many of the local area suppliers members also often learn about economical sources for materials and general discounts that may be available which are not widely advertised.
Networking for Tools/Shows/Materials
Members often network among themselves to uncover sources of tools, find out about upcoming shows, and establish sources for new, unique or economical sources of materials.
Public Service
Participation in projects for the community, such as our Toy-for-Tots is personally gratifying and offers opportunity to gain new skill and friends.
Newsletter
TWA has a well-written newsletter, which provides up-to-date information on gatherings, events, and opportunities. It gives programs, woodworking shows, opportunities to show or sell your materials, and other information of interest to woodworkers.
Place to Discuss New Ideas
TWA provides an opportunity for you to air and develop your own ideas for projects, techniques, or organizational activities. Where else can you find such a collection of woodworking or general expertise to call upon?
Opportunity to learn and practice Other Skills
Organizational/Administrative/Business/Accounting, Etc.) Helping as a volunteer in the TWA will provide opportunity to learn, at no cost, a wide variety of organizational and business skills essential for you success in business and in life.
