GIMP
From TWBWiki
[edit] 28 May 2007
The instructors took photos of all students prior to this session and placed them on the lab computers. The class then used the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) to edit their photos. In order to free up RAM, the students resized their images to 25% of their size. The instructors then showed some tools to the class, but ran into issues with some GIMP programs having fewer or more tools and scripts than others. This program was better received by the older audience. Should this program be used in further TWB projects, instructors must have more time to familiarize themselves with the intricacies of a complex program such as the GIMP, and may want to plan a standardized tool introduction so that students can better understand the purpose of image editing programs while practicing with the GIMP's interface.
