Proposed Lesson Outline
From TWBWiki
The Proposed Lesson Outline is a possible standard for the TWBWiki when posting software lessons and activities. This can let instructors know:
- What concepts should be explained during the lesson
- The specific software features students use to apply the concept
- What difficulties may arise during the instruction
If groups have already taught the featured lesson, they can write a review under a subheading with the date they gave the lesson. Some topics that can be covered include the students' enjoyment of the material, the utility the lesson has in relation to other lessons (does it depend on previous instruction in some other concept?), etc.
[edit] Skeleton of Proposed Lesson Outline
- Software Title
- Description of software, availability/system requirements
- Lesson Goals
- Generalized computer skills to be learned, software features to be practiced
- Areas of Difficulty
- Is relevance beyond the understanding of certain age groups? Does a certain level of familiarity with computers have to exist?
- Prior Project Experience
- What other TWB trips have concluded about the lesson
