About the Exhibit Beginning April 1, 1997 and continuing through the end of June, the Academic Affairs Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina Press celebrated the Press's seventy-fifth anniversary with an exhibition of some of its outstanding publications.
This website is a way of bringing the exhibition to a wider audience. The text was written by exhibit curator Laura Gribbin to accompany exhibit cases featuring books, photographs, and other documents. The jackets illustrating this website are from the most recent editions of the books.
The exhibit is thematically organized around twelve areas of UNC Press's publishing expertise, including African American, Women's, and Southern Studies.
Please join us in our celebration of seventy-five years of publishing excellence at Chapel Hill.
