Here are some of our favorite sites devoted to the Nobel Prize-winning novelist. Most of these sites include links to other popular sites and information on events celebrating the Faulkner centennial (September 25, 1997).
  • William Faulkner: The Making of a Modernist. Information about and excerpts from this important new intellectual biography of Faulkner by Daniel J. Singal (University of North Carolina Press).
  • William Faulkner on the Web. A comprehensive compendium of all things Faulkner, including a chronology, a complete bibliography, and links to other sites. This site has a sense of humor, including trivia, quizzes, and a weather forecast for Yoknapatawpha County.
  • William Faulkner. Compiled by students at Starkville High School in Mississippi as part of an ambitious project to document Mississippi writers and musicians.
  • The William Faulkner Foundation, France. Bibliography, biography, filmography, and much more, including information on the Faulkner Centenary celebration in Rennes on September 22-26, 1997.
  • Center for Faulkner Studies, Southeast Missouri State University. The Center sponsors and supports educational, research, and public service projects related to the life and work of William Faulkner.
  • An English Teacherís Tour through Faulkner information, including biography references, list of novels and short stories, and a lesson plan that can be used in the classroom.
