From Remembering Charlotte: Postcards from a New South City
A native of Charlotte, Mary Anna Morrison Jackson moved to this house in 1907. Locals recall she kept her late husband's saddle on the newel post in her front hall. As Charlotte's grande dame, Mrs. Jackson received visits from several U.S. presidents who came to call.
