ONLINE HELP from the CD-ROM / Using Graphics

How to Use the Graphics

There are many instances when a link in a chapter will call up a map, drawing, or photograph. The image will appear centered in a graphics window over the report. If the image is too big to fit within the window, then scroll bars will appear at the right and bottom edges. Below the image is a unique figure number for that image and a descriptive caption.

At the bottom of the window are two buttons. The Close button allows you to close the graphics window and continue to read the report. The Print button, represented by a printer icon and located at the bottom right of the window, allows you to print a copy of the image if your computer is hooked up to a black-and-white or color printer. See Printing for more information.

Several images of excavated contexts contain hotlinks to other images. If you move the cursor over a hotlink, the cursor will change to a magnifying glass. Click once to navigate to the hotlinked image.
