Annotations Program

The annotations program seeks to offer a comprehensive index of annotations of the scholarship about Walker Percy for researchers and students.

Welcome to the Percy Project Annotations, another service of the project designed to bring you the most comprehensive and complete information available on Walker Percy. This area is dedicated to providing Percy researchers a place to access brief annotations and/or abstracts of the following Percy-related items:

Primary Resources

  1. Percy Books
  2. Percy Essays
  3. Percy Interviews
Secondary Resources
  1. Critical Books
  2. Critical Essays
  3. Dissertations & Theses
Project users are encouraged to submit their own annotations for those works not already annotated. In particular, this opportunity could serve as an excellent graduate seminar exercise to be referenced in the project's educational section. And for cases where the materials being annotated have been submitted to the project's archive service, the annotation will be linked to the item it describes. Annotations can be submitted as either abstracts by the original writer (e.g., dissertations, etc.) or as brief annotations as appraised by qualified readers.

In time, the Percy Project will offer a custom search system of all texts archived within the project, and each annotation will bear the name of its author and the date of its submission.

For more information about submitting an annotation, or for guidance in organizing a graduate-level seminar exercise in conjunction with this opportunity, please contact the Percy Project director.

Return to welcome.
