2001 WALKER PERCY SYMPOSIUM

It's 2001, and it's September, so it's Walker Percy Symposium time again.
This year, the 10th anniversary will feature three very enjoyable
presentations. J. Gerald Kennedy (William A. Read Professor of English at
LSU) will give a presentation on Hemingway and Paris, Michael Griffith
(author of SPIKES) will read from his fiction, and Jeff Portell and Shelly
McCook (two actors who played in Tom Key's stage adaptation of THE
MOVIEGOER, which premiered last January in Atlanta) will perform scenes from
the play in a "readers' theatre" format.

When: September 29, 2001; Program begins at 9:30, refreshments available at
8:45 a.m.
Where: Benet Hall, Saint Joseph Abbey and Seminary College

Free and Open to the Public
Sponsored by the Saint Tammany Parish Library

Reception and book signing follow the program.
