Thank you for those words, Jim.
I just spent the last half hour in conversation with the guy who has the
office next door. He happens to be from Jordan. My own sorrow over the
larger event became more personal, as my friend and I, without ever saying
so, attempted to assure each other that neither of us believes the media
spin and political rhetoric about the people of the other. I can't help
being stricken by the irresponsibility of much of the media coverage. I long
for a bit of the restraint that Jim begins his list with.
