Dear Tim, Folks--

I'm not sure what the words mean myself, Tim. I'm mostly just trying to
encourage myself to do the right thing. Mostly I have been a spectator
to these tragic events and the courageous acts of others. I spoke in
haste out of fear and frustration. I apologize if I've come off merely
as sanctimonious. Like everyone I wish for peace, but I've no right nor
desire to call upon others to be martyrs. Still we remain a strong and
compassionate country with many peace loving allies. Perhaps there is
still time for peace. That's really all I'm saying. With you and all
people of good will, my heart goes out to the victims (their families and
friends) and courageous men and women who died trying to rescue them.

And thanks to all for sharing your heartfelt opinions at this time.
Partly I look to the Percy-l for guidance. To broaden my view and
understanding of life and our common problems.
