No, but teaching abstinence in general would encourage girls to stay from
the sort of boys who aren't willing to respect their virtue. In other words,
it would prevent a lot of date rape.

Kinda sounds like abortion defenders in light of evidence of post-traumatic
stress after abortion. People don't change long held opinions on a dime, and
that's not always evidence of bad faith reasoning.

Do you believe every allegation? I haven't heard this one. If it had proven
credible it would have been front page news across the country.

sexual education (including birth control) are much more likely to behave
responsibly when it comes to sex, not less so.

And do we have concrete evidence against the common sense assumption that
stressing or exclusively teaching abstinence instead of birth control will
prevent even more?

Why is it bullying? Did they use nightsticks, Wade, or the threat of
democratic reprisals -- voting them off the school board?
Please try putting yourself in someone else's shoes and listening to their
reasoning instead of name calling-- it's the first step towards the
tolerance contemporary liberals are always preaching.
