In case some of you might be interested: The Lancet, one of the cosmos
leading medical journals has a regular section Literature and Medicine,
where short surveys on different aspects of this vast area are published.
In the most recent article of this series by MF McLellan Literature and
medicine: physician-writers (Lancet Feb 22, 1997; 349: 564) there are a
few sentences on Walker Percy in the context of the analytical skills
needed by both, physicians and writers. I hope this wont be all, that is
said on WP in this section.
Earlier articles include:
MF McLellan et al: Why literature and medicine?.- Lancet Jul 13, 1996;
348: 109
MF McLellan: Images of physicians in literature: from quacks to heroes.-
