Apologies

Yes, Virginia, karma really does exist. I have first hand knowledge.

Last evening, a somewhat odd message was sent out over Percy-L.
Apparently, that message had been intended as a personal e-mail that was
misdirected by its sender; although, as someone has suggested, one cannot
be sure of such things. Regardless, I found the message rather (shall I
say) interesting, and I decided to copy it to a friend of mine with whom I
often discuss such e-mail errors. Due to my having a sense of
humor that can find such a message amusing, it was only a matter of time
before
karma chose to pay me a visit. In similar fashion to the first message's
sender, I forwarded a copy of the original message with a couple of lines
of commentary not to my friend, but to all Percy-L participants.

Oh my.

I offer my apologies to everyone on this list -- for being careless and
especially for violating standard
(i.e., common sense) e-mail and Percy-L etiquette.

I've been a member of this list for nearly a year, but have been merely
lurking in the background enjoying the discussions: My schedule for the
past year has been such that I've fallen far behind in my Percy reading. I
had hoped to become active toward the end of this coming summer following
completion of several projects. This was most certainly not the sort of
introduction I had hoped to make on this list.

I hope that I neither offended nor bothered any folks out there.

Now, if you will excuse me, there is a hole into which I must once again
crawl.
