Does anyone know anything about Ray Monk's book about Wittgenstein? Thanks!

Thanks to the group for the dialogue. Particular thanks to Nikki Barringer
and Ken Ketner for straightening me out on the broader context of
Wittgenstein's work. I have read that the Tractatus took the mystical turn
at least partially as a result of W's experiences during the War, when he
insisted on being posted on the front lines and constantly carried (if my
memory is correct) Tolstoy's The Gospels in Brief. The pre-War version
didn't contain the last few propositions.

The idea of Percy as a Fideist is interesting. I had not thought of it at
all, but I had also never heard of a "moderate fideist". I did not know
that
fideists could be moderate in any circumstance.
