I'm delighted to see that someone else as picked up on D'amassio and related
it to the Peirce-Percy dialogue. I suspect that what D'amassio means by his
geometrics has to do with the reinforcement which a stimulus receives from
the limbic system in the processing of meaning by signifier and receiver of
the thing signified. To understand my meaning it would be necessary to read
Decarte's Error, but the reward would be well worth the effort. The injection
of the limbic system into the process of triadic communication as outlined by
him clears up so many of the mysteries that we wrestle with in reading
Peirce. What a shame that CSP did not have at his disposal the neurological
map of brain function available today.
