WUNC 91.5 FM/Book and Album Lists

What was that book or who was that performer I just heard about on the radio? To answer those questions, Erika Grams at WUNC (91.5, Chapel Hill, NC) compiles a weekly list of all the books and albums reviewed on National Public Radio (NPR) programs; the lists are distributed through mail, email, and fax. These pages are deisgned to help you access the archived versions of the list stored at Sunsite (UNC-CH).

Utilize the buttons at the right (if your browser allows frames; if not, text links are available at the bottom of each page) as quick links to the main resources of these pages: Browsing the lists, Searching the lists, and Information about the weekly mailing list. Get answers to Frequently Asked Questions using the FAQ button. Program Info provides links to the home pages of the major public radio programs referenced in the book and album lists. Home will return you to this page.

Nationally, many programs air on National Public Radio, Minnesota Public Radio, and Public Radio International member stations which discuss both books and albums. However, the lists archived at thsi site only cover programs carried by WUNC. These include: Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Talk of the Nation, Weekend Edition Saturday and Sunday, Weekend All Things Considered, People's Pharmacy, Soundings, and Monitor Radio Early Edition. In addition, books and albums discussed by WUNC commentators and featured on the locally produced The Linda Belans Show are listed. The lists also include information about some of the albums (and occasionally books) mentioned on NPR's Performance Today, even though WUNC does not carry the program.

Comments about these pages and their design are welcome. Please email booklist@unc.edu. And please, remember to support your local public radio station(s)!
