The Claudette Colvin Story

50 years ago today – Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man on a Montgomery, Alabama city bus. The move sparked the historic bus boycott. What many people don’t know about the Rosa Parks story is that a few months before her now famous act of civil disobedience, a black teenager named Claudette Colvin also refused to give up her seat to a white man.
