Barracks for Wounded Marines

Hundreds of marines have been killed in the Iraq war and thousands more have been wounded. Wounds range from those light enough for marines to get patched up and right back into battle—others are severe enough to end a military career. For the wounded marines who fall somewhere in between, the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune has set up a specially designed barracks. Here, marines on the mend live together, providing each other with moral support as they endure months of rehabilitation and contemplate an uncertain future. Rusty Jacobs reports.
