Reverend David Forbes was the first person arrested when the Civil Rights sit-ins began in Raleigh in 1960. As a student at Shaw University, he also helped organize the first meeting of the Student Non-Violence Coordinating Committee that same year. Forbes recalled those days when he and his friend Reverend Collins Kilburn, also a veteran of the Civil Rights Movement, recorded an interview in the StoryCorps MobileBooth last week. (4:00)
