As a journalist, Bill Moyers has earned virtually every award possible, including over 30 Emmys, a gold baton from the Dupont Journalism awards and a lifetime Peabody award. In a special State of Things broadcast, Bill Moyers speaks to an audience in Greensboro about the challenge of covering religion, the importance of the environment, and the controversy surrounding his public battle with Kenneth Tomlinson, former chairman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
